For the production of our saddles, we use only high-quality vegetable-tanned leather. This traditional tanning method preserves the strength, character, and natural beauty of the hide while avoiding heavy synthetic coatings and plastics.

Vegetable-tanned leather is breathable, durable, and designed to age gracefully with use — developing a rich patina over time rather than breaking down.

We primarily work with two types of leather: rolled saddle leather and skirting leather — each with its own purpose, feel, and finish.

Skirting leather

Skirting leather is a more open, natural leather that can be tooled and customized. Because the surface is not sealed under a synthetic topcoat, each piece shows authentic grain variation and natural markings.

Irregular grain patterns and light dye rub-off are not defects — they are signs of genuine vegetable tanning and real leather structure. This openness gives the leather its character, but it also makes it more sensitive to abrasion and color variation over time.

The benefit is authenticity: a true natural product without plastic coatings, safer for riders and better for the environment.

Available colors: Natural, Chestnut, Havanna, Black

ROLLed leather (Bridle)

Rolled saddle leather is treated with carefully balanced oils and waxes to create a smooth, refined, and even surface. The result is a clean, elegant appearance with excellent durability for everyday riding use.

This leather type is not suitable for tooling, but it offers a consistent finish and a polished look.

Available colors: HB2, Brown, Black

Naturally Unique

No two hides are identical. Grain variation, markings, and marbling are signs of authenticity — not flaws — and part of what makes each saddle one of a kind.

Two Leather Types, Two Functions

We offer rolled saddle leather for a smooth, refined finish and skirting leather for tooling, customization, and true natural texture.
